Santo Domingo.– The second unit of the Punta Catalina power plant was on Sun. connected to the grid for its first generation test, with a contribution of 21 megawatts and then taken out to review results. Presidency spokesman, Roberto Rodríguez Marchena, said the unit was synchronized to the system at 4:47pm and injected energy into the system for the first time. He said that shortly after it was disconnected to inject hydrogen and prepare it to re-synchronize it on Wednesday.
